Marriage Counselling in Witbank

Argue less, understand each other more, and feel close again

Marriage counselling for couples in Witbank (eMalahleni), at Ennead House on O.R. Tambo Road or online. After 21 years in private practice, I help couples break the cycle of the same argument and rebuild what is underneath it.

As seen in:

Marriages under strain often look like this:

  • The same argument on repeat
  • Silence that feels safer than talking
  • Feeling more like flatmates
  • Trust broken and not yet repaired
  • Intimacy that has faded
  • Arguments the children hear
  • Money or in-law pressure
  • One of you wondering whether to stay

None of this means your marriage is over. It usually means the same pattern keeps running and neither of you can see it from the inside.

Marriage counselling can

Stop the same fight repeating

Most couples argue about the same thing in different clothes. We find the pattern underneath it, so the argument stops running your week.

Rebuild trust after it breaks

Trust comes back through repair, not time alone. We work through what happened at a pace you can both manage, with a clear plan rather than repeated apologies.

Feel close again

Sessions are practical. You leave with something to try that week, and over time conversation, warmth and intimacy come back instead of being scheduled.

Get Started

Hi, I'm Louw Alberts. I work with couples in Witbank (eMalahleni) and online.

Most couples arrive late, after years of the same argument, and say some version of "we have tried talking, it goes nowhere".

I have spent 21 years in private practice with couples and families, and I am registered with the HPCSA. I opened the Witbank rooms so people here can get this support close to home.

Sessions are even handed. I am not there to decide who is right. We look at what keeps happening between you, and what each of you can do differently this week.

  • Come in together

The first session is for both of you to be heard, and for us to agree what we are working on. If your partner is not ready, we can start with you.

    Questions couples ask

Everything you need to know before getting started.

    • Is it too late for us?

Usually not. Couples often come in when one of them has already half decided. Even then there is work to do: either repairing the relationship, or separating with less damage to each other and to the children.

    • What if my partner will not come?

Start on your own. A lot of couples work begins with one person, and partners often join once they see what the sessions are actually like.

    • Where do we meet in Witbank?

Ennead House, 27 O.R. Tambo Road, Office WR01, eMalahleni. Look for the Ennead House sign at the gate. Get directions. Online sessions are available too, which helps when shift work or travel makes a shared time hard.

    • What does a session cost?

Each session is R1150, payable on the day. You get an invoice to claim back from your medical aid. The practice does not submit claims for you.

    • How many sessions will we need?

It depends on what you are dealing with. Some couples come for a handful of sessions to get unstuck, others stay longer to rebuild after a betrayal. We agree the plan in the first session and review it as we go.

    • Do you take sides?

No. My job is not to decide who is right. It is to make the pattern between you visible and to give you both something better to do with it.
