Frequently asked questions

  • Who will be helping me?

You’ll work directly with Louw Alberts, a registered psychologist with 21 years of experience in individual, couples, and trauma counselling.

  • How much does a session cost?

Each therapy session costs R980. If you’re using medical aid, sessions are paid for upfront. An invoice is issued after your session so you can submit it directly to your medical aid for reimbursement, depending on your plan.

  • Do you offer online sessions?

Yes, Louw offers secure video sessions if you prefer to attend from home or can’t make it to Wierdapark in person.

  • How do I communicate with you between sessions?

You can contact Louw via WhatsApp or email for scheduling or quick questions. He’ll always reply as soon as possible, within business hours.

  • How long can I continue therapy?

There’s no fixed timeline. You can continue for as long as you find it helpful. Some clients come for a few months, others return when needed.

  • Do you accept medical aid?

Yes, you pay for your session directly, and an invoice is provided so you can submit a claim to your medical aid yourself, if your plan allows.

  • Will my information stay confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is strictly followed in line with South African law and HPCSA guidelines. Only in rare safety-related cases will information be shared.

  • Can I stay anonymous?

You need to provide your name and contact details to receive therapy. All records remain confidential and are securely stored.

  • How do I get started with therapy?

You can send a message on the website, WhatsApp, or call to book your first session. We’ll guide you through the rest.

  • What should I expect in the first session?

The first session focuses on understanding what’s going on in your life and what you’d like to work on. It’s relaxed, not rushed.
